Meet the East End Charters Team

Erick & Hannah, Owners of Bonnie Lynn and East End Charters
Since 2012, East End Charters has hosted thousands of people on the water, sharing the natural beauty of Eastern Long Island and beyond.
Erick and Hannah are the current owners of East End Charters. In 2020 they purchased the charter business along with the 57-foot ketch Surprise from Pat Mundus. After several years of growing the business out of their Greenport base, they purchased Bonnie Lynn in 2023 and expanded East End Charters' offerings.
Our team is passionate about what they do, and strives to provide the most enjoyable and comfortable sailing experience possible. Know that you are in good, experienced hands when you sail with us!
The Crew

Captain Erick Tichonuk
Erick grew up in Vermont on Lake Champlain, first as scuba diver, underwater archaeologist and historian. He spent over 30 years working at the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, where he helped create historic replica boats including the 88-foot canal schooner Lois McClure. He achieved his USCG 100-ton Master's License in 2006 and became a full-time sailor at East End Charters in 2020. Every winter you will find him and Hannah in the Bahamas and the Caribbean, where they offer multi-day charters aboard Bonnie Lynn.

Captain Libby Koch
Also known as "Local Libby", Libby is a North Fork native who graces every guest on Bonnie Lynn with her infectious laughter and positive attitude. Having spent her whole life on, under, and around the water, Libby is an experienced mariner and holds a USCG 100-ton Master's License. She is full-time crew on Bonnie Lynn during the summer, so chances are you will have the pleasure of sailing with her when you book a charter!

Captain Hannah Miller
Hannah was raised in the mountains of Vermont, and spent many of her adult years working, traveling and studying in Europe and South America. Her background in wilderness adventure education with Kroka Expeditions eventually led to her interest in sailing. She achieved her USCG 100-ton Master's License in 2023. Hannah handles the bookings for Bonnie Lynn, so it is likely you will communicate with her leading up to your charter.
The Vessel
Bonnie Lynn is a custom, steel-hulled schooner that was designed as a charter and offshore sailing vessel. She was designed by Meritt Walter and Earl Mackenzie, and was launched in 1998.
Bonnie Lynn's traditional rigging and warm interior offer passengers a step back in time. She holds a USCG Certificate of Inspection that enables her to carry up to 32 passengers for day sails, and 6 guests for overnight charters. Bonnie Lynn was built to a very high standard of safety, and is equipped with the most modern navigation, communication and safety equipment.
Bonnie Lynn spends her winters in the Caribbean, where she is available for multi-day sailing vacations: www.bonnielynn.com.
