What We Do
The oldest and most experienced charter company on the North Fork, East End Charters was established to steer customers to the vessels that suit their needs. We believe that the best way to enjoy eastern Long Island's unspoiled beauty is by boat, and we want to help you experience it!
East End Charters specializes in two-hour, half or full day charters, or even longer trips. We work with crewed boats and yachts that offer a range of experiences from simple harbor tours to fully customized luxury experiences.
Our fleet consists of boats that can accommodate anywhere from 1 to 41 passengers, including our flagship yacht Surprise which is owned and operated by us.
Who We Are
Patricia Mundus is the founder of East End Charters. A retired career merchant ship's officer, Pat continues the Mundus family tradition on the water. As a native East End sailor, Pat has extensive local knowledge and combines a distinctive blend of professional savvy with attentive hospitality.
After many years in business, Pat has taken on new business partners. In 2020, she will be partnering with Erick Tichonuk and Hannah Miller to pass on the legacy of East End Charters.
Erick Tichonuk grew up in Vermont on Lake Champlain, first as scuba diver, underwater archaeologist and historian. Erick spent over 30 years of his career working with Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, where he helped create historic replica boats including the 88-foot canal schooner Lois McClure. Having achieved his USCG 100-ton Master's License in 2006, he served as first mate and master on Lois McClure since its launch in 2004, among other vessels.
Hannah Miller also hails from the Champlain Valley. Her background in outdoor education eventually led her to involvement in maritime activities. An avid world traveler, Hannah has crewed on various vessels in North America and Europe, including a trans-Atlantic passage with a 125-foot tall ship.
